In 1988, the Rolex Sea-Dweller reference 16600 was introduced as the successor to reference 16660, also known as the “Triple Six”. The Sea-Dweller 16600 is a perfect mix of modern and vintage. This model has been in production for no less than 20 years. The visual differences with its predecessor are minimal. The main change was the transition from the 3035 caliber to the new 3135 caliber.

The Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600T that we offer here dates back to 2004 and makes us particularly happy again. Let's start with the 40mm case, which is still razor-sharp and is in a beautiful, original, and unpolished condition. The case shows some visible signs of use, but we have consciously chosen to keep it in its original condition. The period-correct 93160A Oyster bracelet is also unpolished, with minimal stretch. The bracelet shows some signs of use, but here too, the decision was made to preserve the original condition.

This beautiful (neo-)vintage Sea-Dweller 16600T is a true collector's set. The watch comes with the original toolkit, consisting of the Rolex wallet, extra dive extension, screwdriver, Rolex anchor, and the Buehlmann decompression card. The Buehlmann decompression table is based on the work of Professor Albert A. Bühlmann, a Swiss physician and decompression expert. This table helps divers calculate how long they can stay at certain depths without decompression stops, and which stops are required for longer or deeper dives.

This Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600 is powered by the reliable 3135 caliber. Normally, we have all our Rolex watches serviced before listing them on our website. This specific watch has been professionally checked before publication. A revision was not necessary: the movement is still in excellent condition. During the check in April 2025, the watch was tested for water resistance.

This beautiful Rolex Sea-Dweller 16600T from 2004, a true 'tool watch', comes with its original outer box, box, papers, hangtags, bezel protector, and the complete Sea-Dweller toolkit. The original case back sticker and clasp sticker have also been preserved and will be included separately. Rolex Sea-Dweller

Together with the Rolex Submariner, the Rolex Sea-Dweller is one of the most recognizable watches in the world. The Sea-Dweller was introduced in 1967 under reference 1665. The basic design of the Sea-Dweller closely resembles that of the Submariner. The most notable differences are the absence of the date cyclops and a slightly thicker case.

The Rolex Submariner was the world's first commercially produced diving watch and was introduced in 1954. This watch had a water resistance of 100 meters, which was later improved to 200 meters. Rolex aimed to triple this water resistance. In collaboration with the French deep-sea diving specialist COMEX, the brand conducted various experiments. This led to the development of a so-called escape valve, which later became the hallmark of the Sea-Dweller. Compared to the Rolex Submariner, the Sea-Dweller has a water resistance of no less than 1220 meters.
