Rolex Datejust 16200 'Silver Patina Dial + Box & Papers (1995)

There is something special about collecting vintage Rolex watches. There are countless details that distinguish one piece from another, from unique case materials and shapes to the refined aesthetics of the dial. These are the most prominent and immediately noticeable characteristics.

You will immediately notice that this (neo)vintage Rolex Datejust 16200 is not the standard Datejust that we often encounter with a so-called fluted bezel or engine-turned bezel. This version is equipped with a steel, smooth bezel, which gives the watch a more understated and sporty look. But rest assured: this smooth steel bezel also provides a beautiful sparkle!

It is also striking that this Rolex Datejust is not equipped with a standard dial, but with a silver-colored variant that has developed a warm champagne glow over the years. This gives the watch an extra charming, vintage appearance. This makes us very happy again! The dial is further surrounded by a sporty Roman minute track

Along with the introduction of the Datejust, the iconic five-piece Jubilee bracelet was also launched. Buyers could choose between an Oyster or a Jubilee bracelet at the time, with the Jubilee being less common on Datejust 16200 models. This watch is therefore a beautiful example of how an elegant vintage Datejust should look. The combination of the steel case, the smooth bezel, the warm dial with beautiful champagne patina, and the Jubilee bracelet creates an iconic, elegant, and sporty appearance.

This beautiful (neo)vintage Rolex Datejust 16200 with a silver/champagne-colored dial from 1995 is still in stunning condition. The watch was sold in 1996 by the retailer Bucherer. The 36 mm steel case is still razor sharp and appears unpolished. A part of the original green Rolex 16200 factory sticker is still present on the case back. The period correct Jubilee bracelet shows little to no stretch and is also in excellent condition. The reliable 3135 movement has undergone a service.

We can confidently state that this beautiful Datejust 16200 from 1995 is the perfect vintage watch for everyday use. The watch comes with its original outer box, box, Rolex wallet, papers, and a 1-year mechanical warranty from 10 over 10.

Rolex Datejust

In 1945, the first Datejust was introduced to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rolex under reference 4467. This was the first self-winding watch with a waterproof case that also indicated the date and automatically changed after midnight. The Datejust was equipped with a fluted bezel and the famous Jubilee bracelet that was specially designed for the Datejust. The date was displayed at the 3 o'clock position. 10 years later, in 1955, the date window was equipped with a cyclops lens that magnified the date by up to 2.5 times.

Most iconic models of Rolex were produced to be used as tool watches. However, the Datejust had no specific purposes. This model was meant to be a classic, reliable, and everyday watch suitable for any occasion in daily life.
