The Rolex Day-Date
The first Rolex Day-Date, also called ''President'', was introduced in the year 1956. Until today, this has remained Rolex's signature status watch. When Rolex introduced the Day-Date, it was the first watch that displayed the day at the 12-hour position and the date at the 3-hour position. Another hallmark of the Rolex Day-Date is the famous President bracelet that was released in 1966. It is almost as famous as the watch itself. However, the President bracelet only became officially known as the ''President'' when a Day-Date was given by Rolex to US President Dwight Eisenhower.
